About Bradley C. Mayhew
Brad Mayhew joined Johnston Barton in 1995 as a member of its Business & Tax Practice Group. He has devoted his practice to the representation of public and privately held businesses in mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, site selection, financing and real estate transactions. His practice has included the resolution of federal, state and local tax matters, including issues unique to tax-exempt organizations. Brad also assists individuals needing guidance in estate planning, business succession planning, estate administration and choice-of-entity issues. Because of the firm's diverse client base, Brad has gained experience assisting clients in the steel, heavy machinery and direct-mail marketing industries and in the medical and dental professions. He also provides guidance to financial institutions with respect to equipment financing (most notably FAA issues associated with aircraft finance). Brad was appointed by the Alabama State Bar President to serve on the "Wills for Heroes" task force (a project designed to deliver free estate planning services to fire fighters, police officers and emergency medical personnel). Brad also participates in the Birmingham Volunteer Lawyers Program and in the Hoover Chamber of Commerce. Brad enjoys spending time with his wife, Nicole, and his two children, Sophie and Braeden. He and his family attend Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood, Alabama. Brad serves as a member of Trinity's Administrative Board.
