About Jason Daniel Bruner
Jason built his legal career on a foundation of service, discipline, and realworld leadership. He joined the United States Army in 2010 and spent the early years of his career as an Engineer Officer during the Global War on Terror. In 2013, he deployed to Afghanistan as a Platoon Leader, supporting combat operations and leading soldiers in demanding, highpressure environments. Those experiences shaped his approach to problemsolving: stay calm, stay prepared, and take care of the people who rely on you. In 2018, he transitioned into the Judge Advocate General’s Corps and served as a Judge Advocate until 2024 when he left active duty and joined the U.S. Army Reserve. His work spanned administrative law, military justice, and criminal prosecution. He served as Senior Trial Counsel for the 3rd Infantry Division and was twice selected as a Brigade Judge Advocate—once in South Korea at Camp Casey with the 210 Field Artillery Brigade, and again stateside at Fort Benning, GA—advising commanders, training leaders, and ensuring legal readiness across large organizations. His reputation for clear judgment, steady leadership, and meticulous preparation followed him throughout every assignment. After completing activeduty service, he continued his commitment to public service as an Assistant Attorney General in the Special Prosecutions Division, where he handled public corruption cases for the State of Alabama. He also continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Judge Advocate. Jason's academic path reflects the same drive for excellence. He graduated from Florida State University in 2010, then earned his law degree from Cumberland School of Law, graduating cum laude, in 2018. While at Cumberland, he served as an Associate Editor of the Cumberland Law Review, sharpening the writing and analytical skills that now support his litigation work.
