Michael D. McKibben

Mike McKibben has litigated and tried cases in federal, state, and arbitration venues for well over two decades. He is privileged regularly to represent the interests of Alabama's best healthcare providers in both professional and commercial litigation. He has defended product makers in the consumer goods and tire industries for his entire career. Mike regularly advises business clients with respect to antitrust, business torts, and business litigation matters as well. Like his partners in the group, Mike strives to identify the client's options and goals early in a case, and develops a strategy designed to get the matter to trial, summary judgment, mediation, or negotiation as effectively and efficiently as possible. Mike's professional negligence defense work has included both medical and accounting clients. His healthcare litigation involves extensive time spent in defense of physicians, nurses, anesthetists, and related health service providers. Mike is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury Defense as well as Business Litigation; he also has been named by Chambers USA and Benchmark: Litigation in their Alabama Litigation sections.
