Jennifer A. Mihalovich

Jennifer Mihalovich is an attorney/partner with the Arizona Law Group and works primarily out of the law firm’s Chandler office location. The people who have had an opportunity to work alongside Jennifer know her to be very efficient, even a perfectionist, in her family law practice. Dedicated to helping her clients through each legal challenge, she is trustworthy and “reliable as the sunrise.” Outgoing and a genuine person, she is someone in whom trust can be confidently placed in the most personal, most difficult family circumstances. Jennifer is a natural. Although a rarity, her journey to successful attorney goes back to her fourth grade experiences. Both her parents and the nuns at her Wisconsin elementary school often uttered these words of wisdom, “You should be a lawyer when you grow up.” And usually while shaking their heads. Not that Jennifer liked to argue or challenge convention, but she was an independent thinker who needed to know and understand what she was being taught in school and why she was being taught it. Today, one of her many talents is an astute ability to quickly assess issues and get to the root of problems, no matter how convoluted the facts or circumstances. She obtained her B.S. in Behavioral Science & Law from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (where she also studied Dutch for three years) and her J.D. from Loyola University in Chicago. In 2000, Jennifer joined the Child Support Services Section of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office (AGO). As Assistant Attorney General she spent 16 years working in local, interstate, and international child support cases. She has specialized expertise in modifications of existing child support orders and interstate cases. She was an AGO trainer on paternity, modification, and high income calculation training. Her caseload at the AGO was astounding – 350 to 550 active cases on any given day and 22 to 25 hearings a week! She is decisive and professional, a seasoned advocate with proven litigation skills. In 2008, the Arizona Family Support Council named her Attorney of the Year. With this tremendous legal foundation, she expertly guides her clients through Arizona divorce and child custody proceedings in her private family law practice. She also stays active as a community volunteer, delivering dinners to homebound elderly clients for “Neighbors Who Care.” When the agenda is simply to relax, Jennifer loves traveling to destinations with “beaches or mountains.” She also enjoys camping and stays fit playing tennis, hiking, and trail running.
