Joel Fugate

Joel Fugate is an attorney at Phillips Law Group. He is a passionate lawyer known for his commitment to helping individuals navigate the complexities of personal injury law. Long before his time with our firm, Joel sought a career that would allow him to problem-solve while making a tangible difference in his community. Before embarking on a legal career, Joel completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee, obtaining a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He not only excelled academically but also developed decisive leadership skills as the President of the Men’s Rugby Team. Joel went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. A few of Joel’s notable awards and accolades during his time at ASU include a Certificate in Law, Science and Technology and a CALI Award for Academic Excellence. Throughout his legal career, Joel has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in all stages of the legal process – from pre-litigation, to jury trials, to appeals, and more. He has worked with countless individuals, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies. Joel is well-versed in the art of understanding all aspects of a case and has mastered the ability to achieve results, regardless of the situation. Joel’s work focuses on a wide range of accident, injury, sexual assault, and wrongful death cases. His true passion lies in cases that demand scientific or technical expertise, and he thrives when immersed in the intricacies of a truly complex case.
