John Bednarz

After graduation from Arizona State University, I got a job with the AZ Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer. I worked in a maximum security prison in Phoenix, being promoted to Sergeant. I left the Department in 1985 to work for the Maricopa County Adult Probation Department as a Probation Officer. I worked in the field, supervising people on probation, and also worked as a Presentence Report Writer, doing background checks and making sentencing recommendations. In the fall of 1990, I left the Probation Department to enter Law School at ASU, graduation in 1993.
