Tracy Gordon

Tracy Gordon is a partner at Schmidt McElwee & Gordon, PLLC. Working out of the firm's offices in Phoenix, Arizona, she focuses her practice exclusively on family law matters, and she represents clients in Maricopa County and throughout the state. Ms. Gordon attended Arizona State University in Tempe as an undergraduate, and she majored in finance and received a Bachelor of Science. She then joined an area family law firm, and she served as a paralegal for several years before deciding that she wanted to pursue a legal education. Ms. Gordon thereupon enrolled at what was then known as the Phoenix School of Law and which subsequently changed its name to Arizona Summit Law School. While she was there, she was a member of the Phoenix Law Review, and she served a legal writing clerkship at The Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County. This latter experience helped to give Ms. Gordon a strong background in civil litigation matters which she uses today in her practice. Ms. Gordon was awarded her Juris Doctor in 2011, and she was admitted to practice before all Arizona state courts later that year. She has been with her current firm since that time, handling a wide variety of family law cases. Many of Ms. Gordon's clients are facing the end of their marriages, and she helps them with the related divorce legal issues of parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, and the division of complex assets, the latter in which her finance background is an advantage for her clients when it comes to valuations. Other matters that Ms. Gordon has worked on have included the preparation and review of prenuptial and post-marital agreements.
