Benjamin Zicherman

Ben Zicherman serves as Of Counsel to Lamano Law Office, bringing over a decade of collaboration on serious and violent criminal cases. Born and raised in Berkeley, California, Ben is the founding member of Alameda Defenders, a coalition of esteemed criminal defense attorneys in the Bay Area. His extensive legal expertise and deep commitment to justice have earned him respect within the Alameda County Bar Association and beyond. Ben's academic achievements are a testament to his dedication to excellence. He graduated with honors in Communications and Sociology from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and earned his Juris Doctorate with Cum Laude honors from Pace Law School in New York. During law school, Ben sharpened his legal skills through a prestigious clerkship with the Queens County District Attorney, where he gained valuable insights into the complexities of criminal law and prosecution. Ben’s legal career began at Kesluk & Silverstein, a renowned firm in Beverly Hills, where he specialized in civil rights defense. His work in complex litigation, motion practice, and trial preparation solidified his reputation as a passionate advocate for individuals facing workplace discrimination and harassment. He later joined forces with Bruce Margolin, a leading figure in criminal defense and medical marijuana advocacy, where he mastered all aspects of criminal case preparation.
