Christine M. Salazar

Christine M. Salazar is an Associate at Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight. Christine received her law degree from Northeastern University School of Law and her M.S. in law and public policy from the Northeastern School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs. While at Northeastern, Christine participated in the law school’s Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Clinic, where she examined cold cases of racially motivated homicides from the Jim Crow era and explored policy avenues to address the consequences of historical racial violence. Christine also completed an internship with the United States Department of Education Office for Civil Rights, where she worked on investigations and enforcement actions under Title IX. During her graduate studies, Christine’s work focused on LGBTQ+ nondiscrimination protections in employment, healthcare, and public accommodations, with an emphasis on nondiscrimination protections for transgender individuals. Before joining Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, Christine completed a clerkship for the Honorable Yvette Kane of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. After her clerkship, Christine spent three years as an Associate at Altshuler Berzon LLP, where she gained substantial experience in labor and employment law and class action litigation. When Christine is not lawyering, she enjoys musical theater and traveling.
