Courtney Chu

Courtney is a multi-talented attorney with a passion for civil litigation and criminal defense. With a Juris Doctor from the prestigious University of Virginia School of Law and a Master of Public Health from the University of Virginia Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Courtney brings a unique perspective to her legal practice. In her past, she has practiced criminal defense, business transactions, and regulatory compliance. She became a civil litigator though her years at Ad Astra. Courtney is known for her sharp legal acumen and dedication to her clients. She has established herself as a trusted advocate in the legal community, representing clients in Northern California and beyond. As an esteemed addition to Ad Astra Law Group, Courtney serves as Of Counsel, providing invaluable expertise in civil litigation and regulatory compliance. Her experience extends to serving as Principal at her own law office, where she handled a variety of legal matters including civil litigation and criminal defense. Courtney is not only a skilled attorney, but also a person with many diverse interests. When not practicing law, she enjoys snowboarding, spending time at the beach with her dogs, and exploring gardening. She is particularly inspired by those in the restorative justice field. Courtney supports organizations like the Animal Legal Defense Fund, ACLU, Public Citizen, Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, and volunteers pro bono for the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America.
