D. Brian Washburn

D. BRIAN WASHBURN is an Associate Attorney at SSJ Law. Licensed to represent clients throughout California, Brian's areas of practice are Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Licensing, Administrative Law, Cannabis Regulation Litigation, Land Use Litigation, and Medical Malpractice. He brings the firm a wide wealth of litigation experience having worked cases from the pretrial stages through the appeal process in areas of Personal Injury, Premises Liability, Employment Law, and long-term care defense. Brian earned his Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Arkansas, and he worked as a professional journalist in Northwest Arkansas. He also interned for the United States Senator John Boozman, at the Benton County Circuit Court, and was Judicial Extern to the Honorable Mark T. Fryauf in 2012. Brian earned his Juris Doctorate at Pepperdine University School of Law, and he also earned a certificate in Dispute Resolution from the prestigious Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution. Brian attended Trial School at the Education American Board of Trial Advocates. In Brian's spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog, as well as writing, playing guitar, attending concerts, frequenting the beach, running, fantasy football, and all sporting events.
