James Hardin

Mr. Hardin was recognized four consecutive years as a “Rising Star” by Los Angeles Magazine – a distinction recognizing the top two and one-half percent of attorneys under age 40 for excellence in the practice of law. Mr. Hardin has represented prominent corporations and individuals in various types of employment, business, intellectual property, and class action matters. In addition to obtaining many favorable results on behalf of defense clients – e.g., on demurrer, motion to dismiss, summary judgment, or class certification – Mr. Hardin has helped secure over $70 million in verdicts and settlements on behalf of plaintiffs in litigation. Mr. Hardin graduated from UCLA Law School in 1999. He started his career at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, was a shareholder at Call, Jensen & Ferrell for four years, and worked at one of the nation’s top plaintiffs’ firms, Robinson, Calcagnie & Robinson, before joining Newport Trial Group. Aside from litigation, his enjoys basketball, tennis, surfing, and reading.
