Kathryn A. Hulse

Kathryn Hulse is an associate attorney of the firm, primarily practicing employment law and personal injury. Kathryn joined the firm after a lifelong career in public service and previously worked for the Department of Social Services and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). During her time with the California Department of Public Health, Kathryn was at the center of the legal response the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak, working on novel legal issues across departments and with the Governor's Office. For her work on these issues, Kathryn was a recipient of CDPH's FAME award. Kathryn left public service to pursue a career in civil litigation. Ms. Hulse attended the University of California Davis where she received she Bachelor of Arts. While attending McGeorge School of Law, Ms. Hulse worked full time, participated in Trial Advocacy, was Vice Chair of Moot Court and a finalist in oral advocacy competitions. Ms. Hulse was a recipient of the Poile Prize for her work advancing LGBTQ marriage equality. Ms. Hulse also externed for the Third District Court of Appeal and the Irish Refugee Council in Dublin, Ireland. Ms. Hulse enjoys spending her free time with her husband and family, acting in theatre, attending a live music show, or hanging out with her four perfect dogs.
