About Kirsten A. Worley
Based in Orange County, California, Kirsten Worley has a national commercial litigation and transactional practice. She is admitted to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and all federal and bankruptcy courts of California. Before starting her own law practice, Kirsten was a partner with a national firm. She is experienced in all aspects of business and commercial litigation, surety bond defaults and construction litigation, and brings a decade of sophisticated construction and surety law experience to her practice. In addition, Kirsten’s practice covers the entire range of creditor's rights and restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy matters, including such areas as prosecution of creditor's claims in connection with commercial loans and credit facilities including related guaranty and indemnity rights, representation of parties in claim objections and adversary proceedings, receiverships, collections actions, pre-insolvency planning, prosecuting claims in bankruptcy, litigating lien priority issues, representing creditor's interests to minimize the impact of bankruptcy, transactional matters, and negotiated solutions and workouts. Kirsten also handles complex and routine commercial transactions, including business formation, joint venture and LLC structuring, construction finance, and secured transactions, and serves in the capacity as outside general counsel for many businesses with respect to corporate compliance, contract formation and business disputes. Kirsten represents lenders, loan servicers, sureties, general contractors, subcontractors, developers, private equity capital investors, suppliers and businesses of all sizes from large corporations to local small businesses, and business owners. Kirsten is Co-Chair of the Bankruptcy Subdivision of the American Bar Association (ABA) Fidelity and Surety Law Committee (FLSC) Law Division of the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS). She is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Orange County Bankruptcy Forum and Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum. In addition to her representative matters, Kirsten regularly volunteers time with the Orange County Bar Association/Public Law Center Chapter 7 Pro Bono Bankruptcy Legal Clinic at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
