Leslie E. Frank

Leslie Frank is a partner of King, Holmes, Paterno & Soriano representing creators in transactions that range from recording artist collaborations to equity-for-endorsement with start-up brands to film and television. She has studied and debated copyright policy issues and business models in the digital arena since the Metallica v. Napster lawsuit in 2000, for which she was a member of the plaintiff's legal team. Ms. Frank has negotiated contracts and settled disputes on behalf of clients that include: Metallica, Dr. Dre, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Skrillex, Zedd, Steve Aoki and Blink-182. Variety and Billboard have interviewed Ms. Frank about legal issues. She has been published in the UC Davis School of Law Business Law Journal. She also participates in symposia, seminar panels and speaking engagements regarding copyright law and entertainment transaction issues. Ms. Frank was admitted to the California Bar in 1992.
