Michael B. Atkins

Mr. Atkins is an experienced attorney who focuses his practice on representing employers, both public entities and businesses, in a variety of employment- and tort-related litigation matters. Mr. Atkins began his legal career as an associate at an AmLaw100 firm in New York, where he represented clients in high-stakes complex business disputes in federal and state court and arbitration. Before joining BDG Law Group, Mr. Atkins practiced employment law in a boutique employment and litigation law firm in Los Angeles, representing both employers and employees. He is barred in both California and New York. In addition to his experience as an attorney, Mr. Atkins served as deputy director of a national organization of university professors dedicated to advancing freedom of speech and combatting antisemitism and other forms of hate in higher education. In his free time, Mr. Atkins enjoys running and playing beach volleyball, acting in community theater, and solving crossword puzzles, among other interests.
