Min K. Kang

Min K. Kang specializes in representing manufacturers and distributors in complex product liability, toxic tort and general civil litigation matters. She also handles insurance coverage and related litigation, representing insurance carriers and commercial policyholders in a wide range of claims including toxic tort, construction defect, bad faith and breach of contract matters. Ms. Kang obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication Design and Interdisciplinary Visual Arts in 1999 from the University of Washington in Seattle. She was on the Dean's List from 1995 to 1999, and received the Milnora Roberts Scholarship in 1998. In 2006, Ms. Kang obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law. While in law school, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable Randa M. Trapp of the San Diego Superior Court at the Family Law Court and a law clerk for the administrative law judges at the Office of Administrative Hearings of the State of California. During this time, Ms. Kang also successfully argued asylum and amnesty cases before the San Diego Immigration Court. Ms. Kang is admitted to practice law before the Ninth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Central and Southern Districts of California, and all California and Washington State Courts. Representative Matters Mass/Toxic Tort • Represented various manufacturers and suppliers of construction materials in cases alleging toxic exposure to asbestos. Many cases resulted in an early dismissal of the client after depositions were taken, while others resulted in favorable settlements well before trial.
