Renee B. Brown

Renee B. Brown's practice focuses on representing employers, including public entities and businesses, in employment litigation matters. Prior to joining BDG, Renee practiced employment law with another firm, representing Plaintiffs in claims brought pursuant to the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (Government Code § 12940 et seq.); the Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA"); the California Labor Code; the Family Medical Leave Act ("FMLA"); and the California Family Rights Act ("CFRA"). Prior to being admitted to the California State Bar, Renee graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), and she received her Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. During law school, she served as president of the LL.M class. Renee gained valuable experience as a law clerk at the Maryland Uninsured Employers' Fund - Office of the Attorney General, handling worker's compensation claims. Renee has practiced worker's compensation law and she has extensive experience in a wide range of contract law matters. Renee is a certified mediator. She has successfully mediated an extensive amount of cases in the California Superior Court. In her free time, Renee enjoys hiking, meditating, traveling and experiencing different cultures.
