Richard Sontag

Richard Sontag is a partner with the law firm of Wallace, Richardson, Sontag & Le, LLP. Mr. Sontag obtained a bachelor's degree in history in 1979 from the University of California at San Diego and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 1982 from the University of Oregon. Mr. Sontag represents property owners, management companies, developers, financial institutions, and investors in all manner of real estate litigation and transactions. Mt. Sontag has vast experience litigating landlord-tenant issues including thousands of unlawful detainer actions and dozens of jury trials. Mr. Sontag has become a fixture in Orange County courts that hear unlawful detainer actions. Additionally, Mr. Sontag represents landlords and sercured creditors in federal bankruptcy court and in appeals. Among Mr. Sontag's credits include representation of the the landlord at the trial level and on appeal in reported decision of Gans v. Smull (2003) 111 Cal.App.4th 985.
