Robert A. Preskill Attorney at Law

As an attorney for nearly 15 years, Robert Preskill has helped hundreds of clients negotiate solutions to their legal problems. Robert's skills as a no-nonsense negotiator may have originated from his Chicago upbringing. Like many Chicagoans, Robert is an honest straight talker. He won’t sugar-coat the situation - if you are facing a criminal charge, he'll tell you point blank what you face, and then start working on a defense strategy to keep your record clean. Mr. Preskill stresses thorough pre-trial preparation but, equally if not more important, is his lightning fast action at the very critical first stages of a criminal prosecution that often results in a reduction or complete dismissal of all charges. Before joining up with Summit Defense, Mr. Preskill rose through the ranks at other firms until he became the Managing Partner of his own law firm. Today, he prefers the team approach and the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in Bay Area criminal defense. Mr. Preskill received his BA and Law Degree from the University of Illinois, one of the most prestigious law schools in the country. His volunteer work includes assistance on a project that advocates for prisoner's rights and improved conditions in jail. He is well connected in the Bay Area legal community, is a Board member at several Bay Area companies and a frequent lecturer on legal topics.
