Shani C. Colson

Shani C. Colson is an Senior Associate Attorney with Temmerman, Cilley, Kohlmann & Norcia, LLP in San Jose, California. Shani's practice focuses on estate planning, trust and decedent's estate administration, and probate. Upon earning her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2014, Shani worked at a boutique trusts and estates law firm in Cupertino, California, honing her skills and cultivating excellent customized strategies. Throughout her legal career, Shani has been actively engaged in public interest. During law school, Shani interned for a solo practitioner focused in the area of elder abuse, at the Eviction Defense Collaborative, and the Transgender Law Center. In her second year of law school, Shani became a Certified Law Student and worked in the University of San Francisco Child Advocacy Clinic. Shani is passionate about estate planning and other related areas. With her background in public interest and a desire to help the community, Shani enjoys how estate planning allows her to connect on a personal level with clients. Outside of Temmerman, Cilley, Kohlmann & Norcia, LLP, Shani volunteers in the local community providing legal resources through Senior Adults Legal Assistance, and participating in clean-ups. In her free time, Shani enjoys spending time with her family, hiking with her dog, and attending cultural events.
