Teresa Bristow

Ms. Bristow has devoted her professional endeavors exclusively to family law for the past sixteen years, having begun her career as a family law paralegal in 1996. Due to her extensive experience working with family law litigants, Ms. Bristow understands the anxiety and financial concerns which accompany divorce or other family law litigation. When possible, Ms. Bristow strives to work cooperatively with the opposing party and counsel to resolve issues outside of the courtroom. When settlement can be achieved, both parties benefit from reduced conflict and anxiety and generally find that their legal fees are minimized. However, where settlement is not possible, Ms. Bristow is committed to aggressively advocating for her clients throughout the litigation process. Ms. Bristow also provides mediation services for divorce and other family law issues. She is a trained mediator, and enjoys helping parties work cooperatively to resolve conflict, rather than litigate. Ms. Bristow was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2005, having graduated magna cum laude from Lincoln Law School in Sacramento. Ms. Bristow graduated as class Salutatorian and received numerous academic awards including the Martin Anderson Merit Scholarship, awards for moot court oral argument and written brief, and American Jurisprudence Awards in Family Law, Trusts, Legal Research, Civil Procedure, Administrative Law, Real Property, and Criminal Law. Ms. Bristow received her baccalaureate degree magna cum laude with a major in Biological Sciences from California State University, Sacramento.
