W. Bailey Smith

W. Bailey Smith graduated from Stanford University and the University of California, Hastings College of Law. After serving as an Agent in Counter-Intelligence in the United States Army, he practiced law as a Deputy District Attorney and then with a major Los Angeles law firm. He has taught estate and gift taxation, and lectured on tax savings throughout California. He is a member of the Orange Coast Estate Planning Council, the Probate Section of the Orange County Bar Association, and the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Section of the California Bar. He is certified by the State of California as a specialist in estate planning, trust, and probate law. With 38 years experience as an attorney, he specializes in wills, trusts and probate in Newport Beach and Long Beach, California. Mr. Smith has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, the Reader's Digest, the American Bar Association Journal, the Orange County Register and the Orange County Lawyer. He is also available for public lectures on prudent estate planning and tax savings, featuring the theme: "The John Wayne Problem and the Bing Crosby Solution".
