Alisha Nicole Taibo Coombe

Alisha Taibo Coombe earned her Juris Doctorate at the University of Colorado Law School in 2009 and was admitted to practice in Colorado the same year. She also graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Alisha worked at Janus Capital Group for seven years, ending her finance career as a research associate on the investment team. Alisha served in the U.S. Army for four years. While in law school, Alisha interned at the Boulder District Attorney's office, prosecuting DUI and Minor in Possession cases. Alisha participated on the CU trial team and the moot court competition, and coached other mock trial teams, leading one team to the number one spot in a competition between rival law schools CU and DU. Alisha practiced as a student attorney in the CU Legal Aid Clinic; a non-profit legal program which provides legal representation to poor Coloradans. Since passing the Bar, Alisha has represented clients in all types of domestic disputes, general civil litigation, and complex construction litigation cases. Alisha is dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence and previously served on the Board of Directors at Gateway Battered Women's Services. She is a regular volunteer on KUSA Channel 9 Law Line and the Arapahoe County Bar Association pro se free legal aid clinic. Alisha serves as the Continuing Legal Education Committee Chair with the Arapahoe Bar Association and volunteers with the Judicial Nomination Commission of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association.
