About Herbert I. Cantor
Herbert I. Cantor received a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from New York University in 1965 and a Juris Doctor degree from Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America in 1970. He is admitted to the Maryland and District of Columbia bars, is a member of the U.S. Supreme Court bar, and served as a U.S. Patent Examiner in the field of high polymers from 1965 to 1967. Herb served as an associate editor of the Catholic University Law Review; he is a former Adjunct Professor of Law at the Georgetown University Law Center, where he taught international licensing. He is active in the Federation Internationale des Conseils en Propriete Industrielle (FICPI). Herb served for two years as President of the Maryland Patent Law Association. Herb has particular expertise in interferences and in litigation of patent and trademark infringement matters, both in the courts and in the International Trade Commission. Herb carries an active docket of patent and trademark prosecution, patent reexamination, interference and opinion cases.
