John Rogers

John obtained a B.S. in economics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2002 when he graduated magna cum laude. While attending Chicago-Kent College of Law, John was recognized as a Board of Directors Scholar and externed with a Federal Magistrate Judge. He graduated in 2009, with honors, and began his legal career at a national defense firm specializing in the defense of medical malpractice and other forms of catastrophic loss litigation. There he represented hospitals, physicians, business owners, and long-term care facilities facing personal injury litigation. In 2012 John accepted the opportunity to spearhead a new Pensacola office for that firm, which he grew over the span of several years. Since 2015 John has worked exclusively on behalf of individuals injured as the result of another's negligence. His caseload has included motor vehicle crash, premises liability, medical malpractice, nursing home, assisted living facility, and negligent security cases. Over this time, he has obtained numerous seven-figure settlements on behalf of his clients and has gained substantial first-chair trial experience. In November 2021, on behalf of his clients, John obtained a jury verdict that ranked among Florida's top car crash litigation verdicts of the year. At The Watson Firm, John is able to draw upon his years of experience defending corporations and insurance companies to his clients' advantage by providing sound advice and guidance through all phases of the claims handling and litigation processes.
