Michael England

Michael England is a native Floridian and has spent the majority of his life in and around the state. He attended the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Human Performance. Prior to pursuing a legal education, he worked for almost 16 years as a Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer within the Tampa Bay area. Mr. England decided to pursue a second career and attended Stetson University College of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate degree. While a student at Stetson, his legal research project, "In Whose Best Interest? Florida's Statutory Ban on Homosexual Adoption And The Arguments Set Forth In Support Of An Absolute Ban Represent The Perceived Best Interest Of a Conservative Morality And Not Those Of The Children", was published in the distinguished first position of the Whittier College of Law Child and Family Advocacy. He also assisted with the legal research for Professor J. Catherine Bohl's book Children and the Law The Competing Rights, Privileges, and Interests of the Children, Parents, and the State. Michael has previously served as a guest speaker on the topic of same sex adoption for Stetson Law's Children & The Law class. After graduating from law school and being admitted to the Florida Bar, Mr. England used his extensive medical background and legal education to represent individuals seeking Social Security disability. Michael worked for several large firms prior to joining Morgan & Morgan in 2014. He is veteran of the United States Navy and he received an Honorable Discharge in 1993. He is a second generation Hospital Corpsman and provided medical care to the Navy's land-based units. In addition to practicing law, Mr. England is an avid fan of the Florida Gators, Boston Red Sox, and Chicago Blackhawks. He also finds the occasional spare time to compete in Obstacle Course events and has completed the Tough Mudder, Savage Race, and Spartan Race - Sprint among other extreme running events.
