
About Philip Fougerousse
Florida attorney, Philip Fougerousse, has earned the respect of his peers and his community through more than 34 years of legal service. He was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 1974, and Alabama Bar in 1981, and the Florida Bar in 1982. As an elected county judge from 1995 to 1999, he presided over 25,000 cases covering matters in real estate, landlord/tenant, collections, probate, family, domestic violence, Baker Act, as well as civil and criminal law. Mr. Fougerousse returned to private practice in 1999 and primarily concentrates in family law and mediation/arbitration. The heart of Mr. Fougerousse's practice is handling all aspects of family law, including dissolution of marriage and time-sharing and shared parenting issues, as well as military dissolution, dependency, paternity, relocation, time-sharing, child support, alimony, modification, and private family mediation. He is most passionate about protecting and defending the rights of children and nonoffending parents in dependency matters, and he zealously advocates on their behalf. Mr. Fougerousse understands the complexities of dissolutions, drafting parenting plans and settlement agreements, alimony, and equitable distribution. He is sensitive to the needs of the family unit, and he provides caring and prudent counsel to his clients. He is also an experienced litigator, who is fully prepared to vigorously represent his client in the courtroom. As a pioneer in Florida mediation and arbitration, Mr. Fougerousse has over 27 years of experience in negotiating settlements. He is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Civil Law Mediator. He has brought his expertise to the mediation and arbitration table in dissolutions of marriage, final judgment modifications, mortgage foreclosures, medical malpractice, personal injury cases, civil matters and more.
