Shelby Savage

At the Pensacola-based law firm Taylor, Warren, Weidner, Hancock & Barnes, Shelby Savage is a passionate advocate for policyholders facing unfair treatment by insurance companies. She champions clients whose claims have been unjustly underpaid, delayed or denied, and also handles personal injury cases. In her inaugural year of practice, she has adeptly argued motions in court on intricate discovery issues and masterfully mediated cases, achieving settlements far more favorable than the insurance companies' initial offers. Her talents extend to guiding clients through challenging insurance claim negotiations and resolving complex property damage disputes. Ms. Savage is committed to understanding her clients on a personal level, listening closely to their stories and needs to effectively convey their experiences to insurers, mediators, judges and juries. Her dedication lies in building trust with her clients and equipping them with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about protecting their rights and seeking recovery. Whether someone has suffered an injury or feels mistreated by an insurance company, she is eager to offer her support. A 2019 honors graduate in English and political science from the University of South Alabama, Ms. Savage obtained her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2022. She became licensed to practice in Florida that same year and gained admission to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida in 2023. A respected figure in her field, she functions on the executive council of the Escambia-Santa Rosa County Bar Association and is an active participant in its Young Lawyers Division. During her time in law school, Ms. Savage earned a Public Interest Certification and received the Student Pro Bono Award. She was an articles editor for The Journal of the Legal Profession and had her student note, "The Best of Both Worlds: Granting Derivative Use Immunity for Parents in Juvenile Proceedings," published in its 46th Edition. She also distinguished herself as a semifinalist in the 2021 Campbell Moot Court Competition and as an Outstanding Advocate in the 2022 Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition.
