Theodore E. Karatinos Esq.

Licensed to practice Florida law in 1993, Ted Karatinos handles employment matters through various stages of litigation. He has handled trials both in the state and federal court. He has represented employees at mediations and arbitrations. He frequently analyzes and negotiates all types of contracts which employees receive non-competes, general releases, and severance agreements. Ted has litigated cases under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, 42 United States Code Section 1983, the Federal Tort Claims Act, the Florida Tort Claims Act, the Jones Act, the Rehabilitation Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and various other common laws, state laws, and federal laws. Ted has argued appeals in Florida's Second District Court of Appeal, Florida's Fifth District Court of Appeal, the Florida Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Within the legal community, Ted mentors law students and regularly attends meetings of the Barney Masterson Inn of Court in Pinellas County. He is a past member of the Editorial Board for the American Bar Association's publication, "The Young Lawyer." Some of Ted's cases have been covered in the Bradenton Herald, the Tampa Tribune, and the St. Petersburg Times newspapers.
