William R. Seitz

William (Bill) Seitz concentrates his practice on complex civil litigation, including business litigation, personal injury litigation and class actions. His representations include representing clients seeking insurance coverage, representing clients in debtor-credit litigation, representing companies in pharmaceutical litigation, representing manufacturers regarding the purchase and sale of goods, representing company shareholders in disputes with each other, representing plaintiffs in class actions and representing injured people seeking recovery. He has represented clients in the Florida state, federal and bankruptcy courts. Additionally, he has represented clients in arbitrations proceedings before the American Arbitration Association, National Arbitration and Mediation organization and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution. Prior to joining Mase Mebane & Briggs, Mr. Seitz practiced complex commercial litigation, primarily representing investors and financial institutions. Over the last four years he has been first or second chair on cases resulting in over $70 Million in financial judgments. Mr. Seitz brings his experience obtaining and collecting judgments on behalf of clients to Mase Mebane & Briggs, as well as his experience litigating both for and against financial institutions and insurance companies. His experience has provided him with an inside knowledge of how those companies operate and how to best advocate for his clients against them. Mr. Seitz graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, and he holds a B.B.A. in Finance and minor in Political Science from the University of Iowa where he was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. During law school, he served as a judicial intern with the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida and the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. Mr. Seitz is admitted to The Florida Bar, the U.S. District Court and U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Southern District of Florida. He is a member of the Dade County Bar Association and the Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Seitz is also actively involved in the community, dedicating his time outside of work to the Miami-Dade Children's Hospital and Habitat for Humanity.
