Andrea Dyer Hastings

Andrea Dyer Hastings is the Founding and Managing Partner of Hastings Shadmehry Family Law, having formed the firm in 2023. Previously, she was a Managing Partner of Waggoner Hastings, which she co-founded in 2009. Andee began her Family Law career in 2004 at Warner Mayoue Bates and Nolan, where she became a partner of noted family lawyer John Mayoue. Andee was born in Richmond, VA. She is the daughter of a U.S Navy Captain and a teacher, and her family lived in Virginia Beach, VA, Herndon, VA, and eventually the Marietta, GA area, where Andee graduated from North Cobb High School. Andee earned her B.A. in Russian at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where she graduated With Highest Distinction and was named Phi Beta Kappa; and she earned her Juris Doctorate at The University of Georgia School of Law, where she graduated at the top of her class in 1997. After law school, Andee became an Assistant District Attorney in Rockdale County, GA, where she became a Family Violence Prosecutor. After this, she moved into Civil Litigation, and then to Family Law. Andee has successfully argued in front of the Georgia Supreme Court, and the Georgia Court of Appeals, where she made case law in the state in her first year as an attorney. Andee is a fierce advocate for her clients, with whom she is empathetic, warm, and steady. She manages their cases with cunning, sophistication, and precision. She is also extremely proud of the firm she has co-founded and takes pride in helping to develop lawyers and paralegals into first rate legal professionals. Andee is married and is a loving "mom" to seven rescue dogs. When not working she enjoys home life and taking refuge in the North Georgia mountains.
