Andy M. Cohen (In Memoriam)

Andy Cohen began his legal career as a public defender in Dalton, Georgia where he gained valuable experience representing hundreds of clients in Whitfield and Murray Counties. Andy moved to Atlanta in 2009, where he hung out his shingle, and started The Cohen Law Firm, now known as Hirsch Criminal Defense. Throughout his legal career, Andy was a caring and fierce advocate for his clients. He will be fondly remembered in the legal community as the lawyer who always had a smile and a hug for everyone he encountered in the courthouses where he practiced. In addition to being a skilled and well-respected attorney, Andy was a brilliant musician beloved in the Atlanta music scene. Nearly every weekend he thrilled audiences with his beautiful voice and his ability to play solos that set his guitar on fire. Andy was a proud and loving father to his son, a devoted soulmate to his life partner and law partner Jill Polster, a loyal friend, and dedicated bandmate. He will be forever missed by those who were fortunate to know him, love him, and be loved by him.
