Carl S. Cansino

Carl practices in the area of Criminal Defense in both State and Federal Courts. Before establishing The Cansino Law Firm in 2004 he was an Assistant District Attorney in the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit. Carl has been recognized by Georgia Super Lawyers as a top attorney in the area of criminal defense. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in North America. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL) and holds the office of Regional Vice President. Carl is an elected member of the State Bar of Georgia Board of Governors and serves as Chairman of the Georgia Department of Law’s Advisory Committee on Consumer Protection. Carl has represented many high-profile cases at both the State and Federal level including some with significant media coverage. In addition to success at the trial level, Carl has numerous appellate cases reported and errant decisions by the trial court successfully reversed. Carl received his law degree from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School and received his undergraduate degree from the Florida State University and is admitted to practice in all the State Courts of Georgia as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Middle District of Georgia, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
