David Beaudry

Having practiced solely in family law during his entire legal career, David has over ten years of experiencing litigating these difficult and very personal issues. Originally from Florida, David attended law school at Seton Hall University in Newark, New Jersey and clerked for The Honorable Edward Torack in New Jersey who sat on the Superior Court Bench hearing exclusively Family and Divorce cases. This experience gave David first-hand experience as to how Family Law judges view cases, the factors that are important, and the arguments that are most effective on a variety of issues. David continued his family law practice when he moved here to Georgia where he worked for Stern & Edlin, P.C. prior to joining Meriwether and Tharp, LLC. David is both well-known and well-respected within the family law field and the legal community at large. David has been an active contributor and leader in the family law field and has lectured in many speaking engagements. In many of his speaking engagements, David provides Continued Legal Educational training to other practicing attorneys and is a great resource for other attorneys practicing family law. Understanding that the dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time for clients, David is attentive to the individual needs and goals of his clients. While always encouraging reconciliation if possible and settlement if the parties are able to negotiate and agree, David understands that there are some cases that require trial. David has extensive experience in trial practice. Utilizing his experience and knowledge gained both as a judicial law clerk and in practice, David has a keen understanding of the law and relevant factors that a Judge may evaluate on an issue. David is a persuasive speaker, zealous advocate, and a powerful presence in the courtroom. On a personal level, David has an interest in drama and theater and has served on the Board of Directors of the Roswell Community Theater for the last six years. In addition to theater and drama, David is an avid runner and has completed a marathon and multiple half-marathons.
