Dawson B. Welsh

Dawson was born and raised in Dalton, Georgia. He graduated magna cum laude from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law in 2025 in the Top 10% of his class. Dawson also earned the Certificate in Advanced Legal Writing, Research, and Drafting. While in law school, Dawson was a published member of the Mercer Law Review, Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, and the Business, Bankruptcy, and Tax Law Association. He also served as a group mentor for a 1L Contracts II course, a 1L Torts course, and a 2L Evidence course, was a Peer Mentor to four 1L students across four semesters, and served as a research assistant for two semesters. Dawson also received CALI awards for achieving the top grade in his section in Contracts I, Advanced Legal Research, and Remedies, was named to the Dean’s List five of six semesters, and was named a member of the Order of Scribes for excellence in legal writing. Dawson also attended undergraduate school at the University of Alabama in Huntsville where he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2022.
