Attorney E. Noreen Banks-Ware is a Georgia native. Born just south of the Atlanta metro area in Barnesville, she is proud to give back to the local communities she grew up in. Educational Background & Experience While working towards her undergraduate degree in Business Administration at the University of Georgia, Noreen had to take a business law course that sparked her interest in the legal profession. After completing her bachelor's program, she went on to pursue her J.D. at UGA law school. Founding the Firm Upon graduating with her law degree, she spent a couple of years working for a larger firm that initially led her to practice in the area of family law. Feeling like she was teaching herself how to be successful, Noreen decided she could do more for her clients by running her own firm. Since 1991, E.N. Banks-Ware Law Firm, LLC has specialized primarily in family law. From handling uncontested to complex divorces, custody and child support cases, fathers' rights, and probate matters, Noreen has garnered a reputation as a skilled trial attorney that has professionally provided excellent representation to clients. Attorney Banks-Ware is a trusted regular speaker at various Continuing Education Seminars including the Georgia Family Law section's Nuts and Bolts Seminar, as well as the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys Annual Family Law Seminar which she has chaired for two (2) years and been a speaker on family law topics for more than five (5) years. Noreen was also a speaker for the ICLE webinar series on jury trials for Divorces in the State of Georgia. Today, she is currently the Chair of the GABWA Family Law Section and a member of the State Bar of Georgia Diversity Law Committee. Noreen is also a member of the State Bar of Georgia Pro Bono Section that services active Military Members and Veterans. She was named the Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year in 2004 for the DeKalb Volunteer Lawyers and is currently a board member of the DeKalb Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. Noreen was also honored as the "Best Divorce Attorney in DeKalb County" by Crossroads News in 2011.
