Elizabeth (Betsy) S. Whittinghill

Ms. Whittinghill is an associate in the Valdosta office practicing with the firm’s General Liability and Insurance Defense Group. Ms. Whittinghill handles the defense of businesses and individuals in civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance coverage disputes, premises liability, and general civil liability. She also handles tort claims and various state court insurance claims. Ms. Whittinghill is from Sarasota, Florida and graduated from the Florida State University College of Law. While in law school, she spent the majority of her time perfecting her trial skills and oral advocacy skills. She was a Certified Legal Intern in the Office of the State Attorney in the Second Judicial Circuit, Tallahassee, Florida and gained considerable litigation experience as lead counsel in numerous trails. Upon graduation, Ms. Whittinghill accepted a position at the Office of the Public Defender in the Southern Circuit of Georgia. Her caseload was exclusively within Superior Court and she gained invaluable courtroom experience.
