Eric Breithaupt

As a Partner in the firm, Eric's practice focuses on business related bankruptcy and commercial litigation cases. With over 36 years of experience, Eric has tried complex cases to conclusion or resolution in multiple states including Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and Delaware in both state, federal and bankruptcy courts. Eric's extensive practice includes matters involving secured transactions, commercial litigation, business work-outs, all phases of bankruptcy, trade secrets, corporate governance and accounting fraud. In maintaining his state wide practice throughout Georgia and Alabama, Eric is proud to have been AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell since 2001 and has been listed among the Best Lawyers in America publication from 2010 to the present in the areas of Bankruptcy and Creditor's Rights, Insolvency and Reorganization and Bankruptcy Litigation. Eric has argued before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals multiple times and among the numerous reported decisions in which he has participated is the often cited case of In re: Jove Engineering, Inc., that awarded damages against the IRS for violations of the automatic stay in bankruptcy. In his free time, Eric enjoys his Scottish Terrier's antics and almost nightly hones his culinary skills.
