About George Stern
Partner and founder of Stern & Edlin with Shiel Edlin George S. Stern is a founding partner in the eight lawyer firm of Stern & Edlin. Prior to starting Stern & Edlin with Shiel Edlin in the 1980's, George was senior partner of the family law firm of Stern and Funk and prior to that, he was a partner in the firm of Rose and Stern. George has been a top family attorney for close to fifty years, and has been selected in the Best Lawyers of America since 1997. George has also been continually listed as a Georgia Super Lawyer in Atlanta magazine. George is past president of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyer, which is composed of the best family attorney in America. George was also Treasurer of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyer for twenty years, and recently received the Academy's President's Medal in recognition of his work. The President's Medal is awarded for significant contribution to the Academy, and to the practice of international family law. In 2012, George received The Jack P. Turner Award from the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. This award was given to George for his outstanding contribution and achievement in the area of family law for the past fifty years. George has spoken to family law groups and attorneys throughout the United States for the past thirty years, and has shared his knowledge and experience in the practice of family law.
