Kirby A. Glaze

Kirby A. Glaze - Of Counsel Kirby joined the firm in 1975 after receiving both his J.D. and B.A. degrees from the University of Georgia. In 1999 Kirby took Of Counsel status with the firm and is currently President of a private consulting firm, Public-Private Partnership Project Management, Inc. while Kirby's experience includes a litigation practice in areas of local government, condemnation, insurance defense, personal injury and commercial transactions, Kirby has extensive experience in negotiations with the City of Atlanta. In the early 1980's Kirby negotiated an option agreement between the City of Atlanta and the Hapeville Development Authority for the former Delta employee parking lot. Today that property encompasses a banking operations center as well as several Delta Airlines offices. More recently Kirby negotiated a three party land exchange between the City of Atlanta, the College Park Business and Industrial Development Authority and Primary Capital for the area which is now the Gateway Development, site of the new Georgia International Convention and Trade Center and future home of the Atlanta Airport Consolidated Car Rental facility and several hotel and office sites. In addition, Kirby negotiated the sell of a multi-family public housing project by the Housing Authority of College Park to the City of Atlanta at a substantial increase over Atlanta's initial offer. A graduate of the Regional Leadership Institute, Kirby has served as general counsel and President of the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce and currently sits on the Board of Directors. Kirby is a member and former Chairman of the Board of Deacons for the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. He is also currently a member of the Georgia Economic Developer Association and a past President of the City Attorney's Section of the Georgia Municipal Association and past Chairman of the Local Government Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
