Kristy Davies

A 2010 graduate of Florida State University of Law and 2006 magna cum laude graduate of The University of Georgia, Kristy began her career representing victims of crime as an Assistant State Attorney in the First Judicial Circuit of Florida. In just 18 months, Kristy honed her trial skills as lead prosecutor in over 20 jury trials. A Georgia native with considerable trial experience, Kristy was soon recruited by a prominent personal injury firm that specialized in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. For 7 years, Kristy obtained many multi-million dollar settlements and jury verdicts against auto manufacturers, trucking companies, and other giants whose negligent acts resulted in catastrophic harm. Kristy knows the devastation experienced by victims and their family members when someone suffers paralysis, dismemberment, a traumatic brain injury, or death as the result of someone else’s negligent acts. She also knows the extent to which insurance companies, trucking companies, and auto manufacturers will deny responsibility and compensation for these injuries, and the dedication required to successfully litigate these claims. Kristy has consistently been named as a Super Lawyers’ Rising Star, which recognizes the top 2.5% of attorneys under 40 in Georgia. She is an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and was selected to participate in the 2016-2017 LEAD program, which recognizes outstanding lawyers with potential for leadership in the legal and political communities. Kristy is a co-author of two editions of “Commercial Transportation,” a survey published by Mercer Law Review, and has served as a speaker for continuing education. Kristy lives with her husband, Dustin Davies, and their three children in Gainesville, Georgia where she is an active member of her community. Kristy believes the practice of law at Davies Hothem connects her faith and career as she serves others in need. In Micah 6:8, the Lord commands his followers to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God. For his Glory, Kristy’s passion is to take hardship, suffering, loss, and all the things the enemy intends for evil, and turn it into something good – justice for her clients that paves a path to physical, emotional, and mental recovery. It is through this passion and faith that assistance funds such as the Davies Hothem Domestic Violence Legal Fund was founded. Kristy is actively involved in her church, Gainesville First United Methodist Church, the Path Project at Baker Glover, the Telford Child Advocacy Center, Gateway Domestic Violence Center, and Marketplace benefiting Safe Kids Hall County.
