Rebecca Golden Teal

Rebecca joined MIJS in August 2021 as an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Commercial Real Estate department. Born in Duxbury, Massachusetts, on March 3, 1995, she went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in Political Science with honors from Birmingham-Southern College in 2017, as well as her Professional Paralegal Certification from Auburn University’s Center for Legal Studies. She was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in October 2021, after receiving her Juris Doctor with honors from Mercer University School of Law in May 2021. During law school, she competed with Mercer Law’s Negotiations Competition Team and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society. Rebecca also received CALI awards for Legal Research, Legal Writing, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Bankruptcy Law. During the summers, she interned with the Macon-Bibb County Solicitor General, Rebecca Grist, and was a summer associate at a civil litigation firm in Macon, Georgia. Rebecca is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and Georgia’s State and Superior Courts. She currently resides in Buckhead and enjoys listening to podcasts, following politics, trying out the latest culinary trends, music, and spending time with her family.
