About T. Kurt Miller
Kurt is a partner and member of Johnston Barton's Business & Tax Practice Group. Kurt regularly advises clients in the areas of banking, securities, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and general corporate law. Kurt has extensive experience assisting clients in the financial services industry, particularly banks and broker-dealers, including formation, mergers, regulatory, securities offerings and wealth management issues. Immediately prior to joining Johnston Barton in 2005, Kurt served as General Counsel for a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Birmingham. Kurt began his legal career with Balch & Bingham in Birmingham, Alabama. He earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Emory Law School in 1984. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Auburn University in 1981. Kurt is admitted to the Alabama State Bar and the Georgia State Bar. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Birmingham Bar Association.
