Tera Reese

Tera is proud to live and work in Metro-Atlanta. A Wisconsin Native, Tera attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Political Science and a minor in Public Administration. She was proud to be a four-year letter winner on the UW-O nationally ranked women’s basketball team. After graduation, Tera headed south to attend law school at Loyola University of New Orleans School of Law. A strong believer in community service, Tera spent much of her time working in the New Orleans community. She was an active intern with the Fair Housing Action Center; she participated in a program to educate public school students; she helped community non-profits as an officer in the St. Thomas Aquinas Society; and she was an award-winning participant in the Loyola Law Clinic, representing Louisiana’s indigent while in her third-year of law school. Tera moved to the metro-Atlanta in 1998 after graduation and continued her active community involvement through the Georgia Legal Services Program, helping Georgia’s indigent with family law matters and other civil legal issues. In 2003, Tera proudly opened her own family law practice in Cumming, Georgia. In her career, Tera has successfully represented clients in over thirty counties in Georgia. Tera is known as a tenacious advocate who enjoys the courtroom, but who also believes all family law matters should settle out of court when possible. Tera has been asked to speak to local groups on family law issues, and enjoys doing so. Tera also writes family law articles for groups when requested. Tera is a certified and registered mediator with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. She can mediate civil and family law cases. She enjoys her mediation practice thoroughly and feels that all cases, no matter how contentious, can settle. Tera has served on the board of and been active with local Forsyth County non-profit organizations. Currently, Tera is a member-at-large of the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the Georgia Bar Association, and a member of the Forsyth County Bar Association, and the North Fulton and Forsyth County Chambers of Commerce. Tera lives in Cumming, Georgia with her husband, Brad, and their three children.
