Stacy Y. Ma

Stacy counsels clients on a broad range of civil disputes, with a particular focus on premises liability and personal injury defense for Hawaii’s retail, hospitality and tourism industry. She has also represented developers, general contractors, subcontractors and architects in various construction defect and design matters. She has litigated a wide range of cases for Hawaii, national and internationally-based clients in Hawaii’s federal and state courts, and before Hawaii administrative law panels. Stacy serves on Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel A Limited Liability Law Partnership LLPs Hiring, Summer Associate and Wellness committees. Prior to returning home to Oahu and joining Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel A Limited Liability Law Partnership LLP in 2015, Stacy was a litigation associate at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP in New York City, where her practice focused on complex litigation, including securities class actions, shareholder derivative and commercial matters. Stacy also represented corporate and individual clients in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions. While at Schulte, she was a member of its Summer Associate recruiting committee and oversaw training of the Summer Associate mock trial programs. OUTSIDE THE OFFICE Stacy is not only a top litigator, she’s also a top chef who knows a thing or two about making homemade pastas and ice cream. When she’s not experimenting in the kitchen, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two young sons and golden retriever (preferably on the beach).
