Irina Melnik

Irina Melnik joined Cooper Trachtenberg in 2023 as Senior Associate with 20 years of experience. Attorney Melnik has a diverse background in transactions and civil litigation. Her tough but pragmatic approach helps clients achieve the right result for themselves and their families. Born in the former Soviet Union, Irina emigrated to the United States as a child. Her parents’ dedication, hard work, and sacrifice led Irina and her brother to become attorneys. As an undergrad, Irina accepted a position as a teaching assistant to renowned professor B.C. Koh at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Irina also studied European Union Law and International Business Transactions at the Universita Ca’ Foscari in Venice, Italy, while attending DePaul University College of Law. Irina’s experience ranges from family law including divorce and parentage matters, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, real estate transactions to estate planning, business formation to succession planning, and probate including minor and disabled adult guardianships. Her vast experience helps her see the big picture and think outside the box. Irina knows how to cut to the chase. When circumstances call for an aggressive litigator, you want her in your corner.
