Joseph Casteel

Since 2013, Joe has focused his practice on personal injury litigation. Having worked for over five years as an in-house trial attorney for two national insurance companies, Joe leverages his knowledge of the insurance playbook to maximize his clients’ financial recoveries. Joe works diligently to uncover all relevant information to a case and act as an advisor to his clients, preparing them to give testimony competently in the fight for the compensation they deserve. Joe enjoys the competitive nature of his work, aggressively pursuing justice for his clients and helping victims of other people’s negligence fight the institutions designed to prevent them from being appropriately compensated for their losses using the tools of the law. His direct, straightforward style helps him win in the courtroom. Joe understands the transformational power of telling real people’s stories to juries and has first-chair jury trial victories in every state in which he is licensed (Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan). A Michigan native, Joseph earned his JD from the University of Minnesota Law School and holds a BA in English and German from the University of Michigan. He lives in the Eagan area with his wife. Their two young children keep them very busy. When he does get a quiet moment to himself, Joe enjoys playing Paradox strategy games and listening to heavy metal. Joe has been recognized as a Minnesota SuperLawyer each year since 2023.
