Julia C. Williams, Esq.

Julia C. Williams joined The McLauchlan Law Group as Of Counsel in 2016 bringing a wealth of experience to the firm because of her focus on representing clients in contested litigation matters in state and federal court. Her broad practice experience also includes starting and managing her own firm, probate matters, dissolution of marriage and the full range of family law issues. On the litigation side, Julia has experience with class action litigation, legal malpractice claims, attorney fee disputes and insurance coverage litigation. She has handled contract disputes, mortgage fraud claims, and fraud claims in the sale of educational services and corporate shareholder disputes. Julia has received numerous awards recognizing both her legal skills and her civic engagement. Most recently Julia helped guide the firm’s clients through major commercial real estate transactions including complex Section 1031 exchanges and related corporate transactions; guiding a high-net-worth client through negotiation of a marital settlement agreement and dissolution of marriage in just under four months from date of filing; acting as co-counsel in insurance coverage litigation in Federal Court seeking the recovery of millions of dollars for the firm’s clients. Julia’s legal judgment, confidence and calm demeanor are just some of the traits that our clients appreciate. Julia, her husband, and their young son live on the north side of Chicago. When she is not helping clients or spending time with her family, she makes a mean chocolate cake.
