Kathleen M. Smith

I grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and earned my undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University and my law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. While in law school, I was a licensed student attorney through the Loyola Community Law Center and focused my studies on divorce and family law matters. I am a certified divorce mediator and Lake County Guardian ad Litem. Prior to my time at Gauthier Family Law, I was in-house General Counsel for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana and a small business owner in Evanston, Illinois. I understand the highly emotional nature of domestic relations issues and believe in a family focused approach that ensures my clients have a path to successfully move forward on following resolution of the matter.
